How many hours is the 1/2 Day Trip / Whole Day Trip?

1/2 day – 5 hours. Whole day - 8 hours

What does the Rod N Reel/Bankline Combo entail?

Your trip will start by checking banklines that were placed and freshly baited the evening prior to your trip. The day before your trip, I will catch all bait needed for the banklines, and set up banklines to be checked at the start of your trip the next day. Banklines allow hand to hand combat with Catfish, some of which will weigh more than 30 lbs. We have great success with banklines and have caught and released monster Catfish. We do recommend you bring a pair of rubber fishing gloves or leather gloves. Checking banklines is an adrenaline filled exciting experience that will create memories to last a lifetime.

What fishing licenses will you need?

Crappie – Kansas fishing license. Catfish – Missouri and Kansas fishing license

Are there any restrictions on how many fish I can keep?

Yes! Blue Catfish – 5 per person Channel Catfish – 10 per person Flathead Catfish – 5 per person Crappie – 20 per person ***We ask that groups of 2-3 people only keep 1 fish weighing over 20lbs., groups of 4 people keep 2 fish weighing over 20lbs. This is simply a request, not required. We ask this in order to maintain our water way resources.

Will you clean our fish, if so, when?

Yes, I am happy to clean all the fish at the end of your trip. I have everything needed to clean fish at the boat ramp at the end of the trip. Time needed to clean fish is not a part of your fishing time, but rather a service offered after your trip is over, and is already included in the price listed.

What is provided by KC RodBenders for each trip?

We provide all bait and gear needed for the entire trip. We also offer bottled water to our clients.

What should I bring for the day of my trip?

Please bring all snacks, food, drinks (if other than water) you would like. I do have storage to put these items in on the boat, as well as cooler space.

What should I wear for the trip?

We recommend your wear or bring a light jacket, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. In colder winter months it’s recommended to dress in layers. If you have chosen bankline combo, please be sure to bring a pair of rubber or leather fishing gloves.
